Life update : Started Telecommuting
For past 18 months I had been commuting between fresno and Maine every two weeks. Fresno is where I work and Maine is where my life is; I mean my family is. I should say I had missed a normal life all these months. I missed my work while I am with family and missed family at work. However things just started to happen and my employer offered me a travelling job (sort of), and let me base at...
I don't want to loose my Pictures
This post of Dave Winer had send a creepy spark through my spine this morning. I have tons of pictures up their in Flickr (Damn its a yahoo company too), and I don’t have any sorts of back up. The pictures are very dear to me, as it chronicles my son’s each stages from he was an infant.
So what are my options. Do I need to be paranoid ?

Back in United States
I am back after my vacation in India for 3 weeks. I reached back on May 22nd but stayed back in New Jersey for 2 days before I drove home to Maine.
Shopping at the comfort of your house yard is a rare pleasure you can have in India. Vendors on foot bring all the staples to your house every morning. People buy their day to day staples from these vendors. Women and men shopping and bargaining for prices are a common scene during the morning. The guy in this video is Hamsa; my parents are his loyal customers for more than 15 years.

Long due update
No I am not stuck at the marhaba lounge. I got home in one piece. I can’t explain how refreshing that was too see the lush green landscape of kerala after 3 years. I am trying to enjoy every bit of it. However this jet lag is killing me. I fell asleep 3 in the afternoon. Aaron is much worse. He wakes up 3 in the morning every day. Things have turned bit better today

Marhaba Lounge
Is a waiting lounge for business class and first class passengers in Emirates. However they allow passengers travelling through Europe or Americas to use it for no cost. This is completely different from the airline lounges in US where you pay another 100$ more on your air ticket to check your mails and eat pretzels from much larger packets. Marhaba has free bar, with atleast 3 verities of...

A night out in Dubai airport
I am in Dubai International airport waiting for my next flight to Cochin aka Kochi. Its the first time I am flying Emirates. I am impressed. Aaron who had prior experience flying domestically with in US was the first one to express his gratification. I found him enjoying every bit of his first international flight after coming out of his infant years. He felt comfortable with the console and...
Take me home country road
I am sitting at gate A6 of JFK waiting to board Emirates flight EK202 to Dubai and then to Cochin,India. I am meeting my folks and other friends over there after a gap of 3 Years.
Checkin were smooth except for my carry-in bag. I had to check that in. Its a standard size carry-in bag. I used to carry that in or gate check in all the time I travelled in domestic. Apparently emirates is strict on...
We are in New Jersey now. Just a day before the big trip.
Polyglot Programming
I have seen this term popping up now and then in various contexts in blogsphere. It ought to be something new. Wikipedia hesitate to go the right article right away before it suggests few options in various contexts. That means this is a newly coined word.
A preciese defenition of Polyglot programming is in wikipedia anyway
Polyglot program are to make liberal use of languages which use...
It snowed heavily in Northern Maine. Infact we had the record snow fall since 1955. The prior record was for 180 inches. We set a new record of whooping 200 inches; thats about 16ft. And above you see me trying hopelessly to save my new deck. Must say I abandoned it half way for reasons that are obvious.

I am home
Its nothing like being home. And I am home. The whole place look different, for some reason. Last time when I left, I had my deck covered with snow; the back of the garrage had snow piled all the way to the top. Though bit late, spring is settling in into this part of the world. There is that crispiness in the air here. But the grass is pale green, and the withered trees haven’t blossmed...
Another coast to coast haul
In about 3 hours I will be leaving Fresno to meet my family up there in Maine. Seems like its been ages since I have met them. I can’t ezplain explain how much anxious I am to meet my little one.
Who knew there is so much into a Space toilet. Watch it towards the end if you can stay on top that longer :-)
Having been away from family gives me lot of time. So I found a new love since moving to Fresno, biking. Though it isn’t helping me much to reduce my weight, I had found a new freedom. I bike around the sunny and bright (often hot) streets of clovis and fresno. The video is at a pit stop en route to woodward park.
